Funding

The Canton of Fribourg supports entrepreneurship and the launch of new projects through numerous institutions and funds. Seed Capital FribourgCapital Risque Fribourg and Western Switzerland’s Loan Guarantee Cooperative (Cautionnement Romand) provide entrepreneurs with appropriate funding. In addition, companies that want to base their activities in the Canton can benefit from active support from the Fribourg Development Agency in accessing additional funding incentives within the Swiss market.

Funding to determine the viability of your project

The Seed Capital Fribourg Foundation grants loans called “Seed Capital” or “seed loans” to projects that are in the process of validating the technical and commercial viability of their idea. For example, the financing will enable project promoters to better define market needs by meeting potential client companies, to define product specifications and to produce a first prototype that will be used to effectively demonstrate that the idea has a real commercial potential.
